Here is another vintage porcelain portrait coffee mug from the Norman Rockwell Museum Collection, circa 1983. The mug is trimmed in gold and features a classic Norman Rockwell painting on the front and the story behind the artwork on the back; the date is also included. Measures 2-1/2 inches in diameter, is 4 inches tall, and holds 8 oz. Note that while the box refers to this mug with a 1983 manufacture date, the mug is stamped 1982.The guess here is that the second series (which this mug is part of) was actually manufactured in 1982 along with the first series but was held for release in 1983 for promotional purposes. We'll leave it up to you as to the date you want to use. A must-have piece of nostalgia. This was your year, baby!
This cup is in nice vintage condition. No chips or cracks. Remember that this mug is vintage to the tune of 40+ years of age and therefore may show some of its age. The box has a very minor water stain on the bottom. Please examine the photos carefully for condition. Made in Japan. Porcelain.
